Experience seamless access to Melbourne’s lively city life from First Light. Take advantage of the city’s comprehensive public transport network, including the forthcoming Metro Tunnel, which will offer direct links to the CBD. Nearby tram stops provide convenient access to the heart of the city, ensuring you’re always well-connected.
Located near the iconic Shrine of Remembrance, south of the CBD, Anzac Station is one of five new train stations being built as part of the $12-billion Metro Tunnel Project. This station is designed to blend harmoniously with its parkland surroundings, creating a landmark public space.
The tram interchange will feature a striking architectural canopy that not only catches the eye but also offers year round protection from the elements. Skylights embedded in the canopy will flood the station concourse with natural light, enhancing the passenger experience.
Inside the station, commuters will be treated to world-class, permanent artwork, part of the Metro Tunnel Legacy Artwork Program, making every journey an experience.
Additionally, the Albert Road Reserve will be expanded and transformed into a lush community park. This green space will serve as a vital link connecting the Shrine of Remembrance Reserve, Domain Parklands, Albert Park, and extending to Port Phillip Bay.
The Metro Tunnel represents Melbourne’s most significant rail network transformation since the opening of the City Loop in 1982, heralding a new era of public transportation for the city.
